3/21/21 Genesis Mint
This 1 of 1 NFT represents my artistic birth as 1C4RU5 (icarus), and comes with access to a one-of-a-kind unlockable: a password-protected 257MB 7-zip file of my 100-page war journal from my 2012 combat deployment to Afghanistan -- years before I eventually became a musician. I took these 100 photos of the journal while I was stationed in Mazar-i-Sharif, and I am uncertain of the journal's current physical whereabouts. It is stored on pinata.cloud, a Web 3.0 IPFS.
In Greek mythology, Daedalus warns his son Icarus not to fly too close to the sun after making him wings of wax. Icarus DOES fly too close to the sun, and subsequently falls to his death when the wings melt.
In this drawing, Icarus represents myself, the sun represents racial equality, the sword I am holding is actually a pen (derived from the expression, "The pen is mightier than the sword"), the guitar on my back has the signatures from other artists I've looked up to, met, and shared stages with during my musical career, and the "TNP" heart with a music clef in it is my watermark/trademark/logo, which stands for both "Tyrone Nipon Post" and "The Noble Purpose". One day, I will be the millionaire who inspires other millionaires to give 51% of our incomes towards charity, and I will start by providing drinking water to countries in Africa.
Within 24 hours of the 3/20/21 Spring Equinox, this 3/21/21 Genesis Mint is sentimental to me in many ways:
-It is officially my very first NFT. (1 of 1)
-It has been 9 years since my combat deployment to Afghanistan.
-I have never read through the contents of the war journal since writing them; I've only taken clear photos of them. Psychologically, I'm uncertain if I'll ever want to or be able to read through the journal after all of the severe paradigm shifts I've had transform me into the MUCH better man I am today.
-For manifestation, I've repeatedly exclaimed my plans over the years to eventually play music at Madison Square Garden before 2026. As of now, I've accumulated over 6,500 hours of practice, and I will have hit 10,000 hours prior to then.
-I'm sitting on top of THOUSANDS of voice recordings (literally) and THOUSANDS of notes, and these daily NFTs will enable me to authenticate and cement an artistic legacy over time, especially so that my artworks don't die with me in the event of anything untimely.

Even if you may not ask for forgiveness, other people can offer it from the kindness in their hearts.
Forgiveness is always an individual journey that we ALL have to navigate. When we can arrive at a happy consensus surrounding the impacts and consequences of our thoughts and actions, we are better for collectively reaching that consensus.

This recording was done on 3/26, in the lobby of a hotel I stayed in while visiting Salt Lake City, Utah from Los Angeles California. The song was written while I was processing the grief of my divorce and subsequent reduction of the time I could spend with my kids. There was a brief period of time when they wouldn't tell me that they loved me, no matter how much I showed or told them, but rather than lash out in retaliation, I waited patiently in the pain and remained resilient until things eventually turned around with consistent love and effort.
The picture is of my daughters when the three of us had breakfast at a Downtown Salt Lake City location, while they were playing with bicycles that had been welded into the structure of the restaurant's fence.
Whenever I received the impression that my name was being slandered towards my children, the ONLY expression or mantra I would vocalize to my children was, "Dad chooses not to say anything bad about Mom" and I left it at that. No explanations, no justifications, no excuses, no confirmations or denials of misinformation.
I'm sure there are many parents who can relate to the deeply personal messages within.

This was recorded this morning , in the livingroom of my best friend's house while visiting Salt Lake City, Utah from Los Angeles, California. I was having exceptional difficulty playing through the song without any errors, because I usually play this piece on a classical guitar (with nylon strings spaced farther apart).
I used to have a motorcycle. It was a Harley Davidson XG750. I would take my little dog Bruce with me for motorcycle rides all the time, and our hair would blow freely in the wind.

As I share this NFT poem, I reflect on the professional, personal, romantic, and platonic relationships that we each form with each other, the colors of diversity and variety of those relationships, and the varying degrees of intimacy shared within each individual dynamic.
We all have different strengths and different weaknesses, we all have gifts to offer the world and, as best we can, we all determine which of our limited gifts we each choose to share with the world while accumulating what levels of resilience we develop.
We are born at different times, in different places, to different families, in different countries and, as we cross paths with one another, we develop bonds with one another for differing lengths of time and with differing degrees of strength.
I like double entendres and triple entendres, but I typically don't like explaining them. I decided to use several colors in this poem in order to subconsciously expand various patterns of predicted thinking.

I am very aware that I am not the very first artist choosing not to work within their "traditionally lucrative" capabilities. My college degrees aren't even mounted on the wall; they sit in a closed box, awaiting their need for validation.
I am being the change I want to see in the world.
About Me
My name is Tyrone Post, and I'm a self-taught singer-songwriter from Salt Lake City, UT living in Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Retired field engineer; spectrometry and diffraction instrumentation. Bachelor's of Applied Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology.
I served in the military for 5 years in the U.S. Navy (as a Nuclear Electrician) and for 5 years in the U.S. Army (as an AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopter Mechanic). I started learning guitar while healing through a divorce in 2013 after returning from a combat deployment to Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan for O.E.F. 2012-2013. My music can best be described as "healing", and consists mostly of instrumentals on a classical guitar with some other pieces constructed from thoughtful, conscious, and meaningful lyrics. I can be found regularly on Clubhouse @tyronepost.
Beyond the immediate goals of publishing NEW pieces of NFT art or NFT music, I seek to educate as many other artists as I can learn how to publish their works in the NFT space, with the hopes that they can in-turn educate other artists as well.
Before the pandemic, I consider my greatest musical achievements to be performing at Utah's second-biggest 3-day music festival (Reggae Rise Up) in 2018 and 2019, and a sold-out show opening for Matisyahu at Soundwell on November 30, 2019.
